The Security Team Role Card helps individuals understand how security professionals contribute to safe and responsible AI adoption and when their expertise should be involved. Designed for security teams, AI project teams, business professionals, and others working with AI, it clarifies the security team’s role in areas such as data protection, access controls, system vulnerabilities, third-party AI tools, sensitive information, and organizational security requirements.

Use the role card when evaluating, selecting, or using AI and you need to understand which concerns may require security review, what information the security team may need, and when to involve them. It helps users recognize potential AI security risks earlier and collaborate with security professionals before those risks become larger problems.
