Time to Complete: 10–15 minutes
Purpose
To help you recognize how AI is already embedded in your everyday tools—so you can build awareness, curiosity, and confidence using it for real work.
Why This Matters
Many of the apps you already use—like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Slack—have AI features built in. By scanning what’s already available, you’ll uncover time-saving tools you may not even know are powered by AI. This activity is a great first step to:
Build AI awareness
Spark ideas for practical use
Gain confidence in trying new features
Step 1: What Stood Out?
Review the list of AI-powered features in tools you already use (e.g., smart compose, meeting summaries, voice-to-text, automated ticket routing). Then answer:
One thing I didn’t know AI could do: “I didn’t realize it could…”
One AI feature I already use (even if I didn’t know it was AI): “I use this when I…”
One thing I’d like to try next: “It might save me time if I used AI to…”
Step 2: Match Features to Your Workflow
My Regular Task | Related AI Feature(s) | Could This Help Me? (Y/N/Unsure) |
Example: Writing weekly updates | Summarize tasks, auto-suggest phrasing | Y |
Step 3: Feature Fit Quick Check
Review each of the four categories below. For each one, circle how useful you think it would be in your work:
AI Feature Category | Not Useful | Might Be Useful | Definitely Useful |
🔍 What can AI help me find? | ☐ | ☐ | ☐ |
⏳ How can AI save me time? | ☐ | ☐ | ☐ |
🔧 Where can I use AI? | ☐ | ☐ | ☐ |
🤖 Can AI be customized or trained? | ☐ | ☐ | ☐ |
Step 4: Complete the Sentence
AI is most helpful to me when I need to…
Wrap-Up Checklist
By completing this worksheet, I’ve:
Reflected on how AI is already part of my tools
Connected AI features to my real work
Identified at least one way I might try using AI soon
